Review by hotel critic
Hom Monterrey in the vibrant Roma district of Mexico City truly exceeded my expectations. The location is fantastic, surrounded by trendy cafes and restaurants, making it a paradise for food lovers like me. The double room was cozy and well-equipped, featuring tiled floors, a flat-screen TV, and even a washing machine - a rare find in most hostels. The attentive staff and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. However, I did notice a small leak in the bathroom, which was a minor inconvenience. The hostel's proximity to local points of interest and easy access to transportation hubs made exploring the city a breeze. While the noise levels from the dorm window could get a bit loud at times, the overall experience was delightful. I appreciated the convenience of having keys for the main door, the hostel door, and my locker, adding an extra layer of security to my stay.Being a culinary tour guide, I couldn't help but delight in the fact that Hom Monterrey is close to many local shops and markets, offering a true taste of Mexico City's gastronomy. My travel companion and I enjoyed the communal kitchen, which was well-stocked with cookware and kitchen utensils, perfect for whipping up a quick meal. Hom Monterrey is a hidden gem for budget travelers looking to immerse themselves in the rich culture and flavors of Mexico City. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next culinary adventure.
